Dinkydow.com

is the gateway to sites owned and maintained by J&L Enterprises.  J&L Enterprises is wholly owned by two brothers -- one, a disabled Korean War era jarhead; and the other a retired Vietnam War era zoomie.  Both are very much set in their ways, opinionated, politically and aerodynamically INCORRECT, and unlikely to be swayed from their points-of-view by debate.  Trying to change their minds would be the biggest waste of time you'd ever engage in during your lifetime.  If you're a bleeding heart liberal or pacifist, you probably won't find anything of interest to you on these sites -- PETA, Michael Moore, the Dixie Chicks, Al Gore, Jack Cherac, Danny Glover, Hugo Chavez, and Rosie O'Donnell would hate it here.

There has been a Marine in the family during every US war since the Revolutionary War (except the Civil War; we fought for the Confederate States of America and t'weren't no USMC in the CSA armed forces).  Gunny's step-son now carries on the family tradition.  Sarge is the only family member to have ever served in the US Air Force (including the former USAAF), and is only the second family member to retire from military service.  Other family members have fought and died in the Corps, the Navy, and the Army; at least two sustained sufficiently serious wounds/injuries to be medically discharged from service, including one uncle who spent the rest of his life as a permanent patient of a VA hospital with a chunk of ChiCom mortar imbedded in his skull.  No; you're not going to change these two brothers with words, no matter how politically-correct, dramatic, or vehemently they are spewed.

Dien Cai Dau's Hooch is Gunny's personal hang-out.  The jarhead's last unit was the "picket fence" -- 1-1-1 -- and his main job was Scout Sniper.  The site is his recognition of the impact the US Marine Corps had on him, and has a very detailed tribute to B/G Lewis "Chesty" Puller.  A tribute to GySgt Carlos Hathcock is also in the works.

When the LZ has been overrun and the EZ is hot, Sarge's Bunker is his fall-back fighting position.  It's a little about Southeast Asia, the Strategic Air Command, RED HORSE, the fallen on 11 Sep 2001, and other bits and pieces.

Sarge got interested in flight simulations a while back; and, being a licensed pilot, he wondered if the simulations were close to the real thing.  Had one lying around, installed it; and, he's been hooked on it ever since.  Check Six Designs is his private hangar.
